Without key figures like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles left Dublin with a comfortable result that virtually secures them a spot in the Conference League qualifying rounds.

A further three points in their next match against Finland's KuPS should be sufficient to seal straight entry to the last 16, especially after a prior setback against Strasbourg.

Squad Members Grasp the Moment

This match offered a platform for some of Palace's fringe players to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second beginning after arriving on loan from Getafe, notched the account with a well-taken goal. Forward Eddie Nketiah added a second, scoring for the second game in succession.

The match was as good as over eight minutes before half-time. Yeremy Pino meandered past some weak challenges before calmly dispatching a shot past goalkeeper Wessel Speel to extend the lead to 3-0.

After the break, manager Oliver Glasner took the chance to withdraw key individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse almost scoring with his first touch, but saw his effort blocked.

The youngster was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one shot strike off both posts before being clasped on the line. Uche also blazed a sitter of a chance, indicating there is still scope for development in his game.

The only worry for Palace was a late knock to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This allowed 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to make his first-team debut, rounding off an otherwise perfect evening for the traveling side.
